Ethics for In-Housel Counsel Webinar
Ethical traps persist, even when you’re no longer recording your time in 6-minute increments. Please join your DGS alumni colleagues for a webinar about common ethical issues facing in-house counsel. Ben Strawn and Sarah Carlson will refresh attendees’ memory of attorney-client privilege issues involving corporate entities, including the privilege as applied across multiple related entities, potential conflicts with individual corporate representatives, and when a lawyer steps outside the attorney role and into a business role. The presentation will also address counsels’ obligations to ensure that their clients properly preserve electronically stored information, in all its marvelous forms, and interact fairly with their non-clients (including unrepresented parties).
The confirmed speakers for this program, which is pending one Continuing Legal Education ethics credit in the state of Colorado, are as follows:
- Ben Strawn, DGS Trial Department Partner and Firm Ethics Counsel
- Sarah Carlson, DGS Trial Department Associate
