DGS Adds Five New Attorneys
Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP has grown its corporate and litigation presence with the addition of five new associates. Alena Prokop, Colin Roche, and Evan Williams have joined the Finance & Acquisitions Department and Kevin Chen and Gabrielle Robbie have joined the Trial Department.
Prior to coming to DGS, Kevin Chen served as a law clerk to the Honorable Nathan Coats and the Honorable Monica Márquez of the Colorado Supreme Court. He was also an associate at the San Francisco office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where he specialized in securities and class action litigation.
Mr. Chen received his J.D. from Yale Law School in 2013. While in law school, he represented low-income tenants through the school’s Housing Clinic, participated in the moot court program, and interned for the Honorable Dalveer Bhandari of the Supreme Court of India. Mr. Chen earned his B.A., with highest honors, in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2010.
Mr. Chen is a member of the Rose Andom Center Young Professionals Council and a board member of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Colorado. He also serves as treasurer of the Justice Sonia Sotomayor Inn of Court. Mr. Chen is admitted to practice in Colorado and California.
Alena Prokop is admitted to practice in New York and her practice in Colorado is temporarily authorized pending admission under C.R.C.P. 205.6. Ms. Prokop's practice focuses on a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, and private equity and venture capital financings, with a particular specialty for executive compensation matters.
Before joining DGS, Ms. Prokop practiced for four years in the Executive Compensation Group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where she represented major private equity funds and publicly traded companies in dozens of acquisitions and dispositions. Her work focused on compensation issues that arise in such transactions, as well as the design and maintenance of incentive programs and facilitating management turnover.
Ms. Prokop received her J.D.-equivalent degree from the Charles University School of Law in Prague, Czech Republic, and her LL.M. in Corporate Law from New York University School of Law.
Gabrielle Robbie's practice focuses on general commercial litigation. She earned her J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School, where she was elected forum editor of the University of Colorado Law Review and served as a legal writing teaching assistant. During law school, she interned for the U.S. Attorney's Office, for Justice Allison H. Eid of the Colorado Supreme Court, and for the Criminal Appeals section of the Colorado Attorney General's Office. Additionally, she and her team took first place in the 2017 National Telecommunications Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C.
After law school, Ms. Robbie clerked for the Honorable Nancy J. Lichtenstein of the Colorado Court of Appeals. Prior to law school, Ms. Robbie worked for a public relations firm that served clients in the automotive and motorsports industries. She is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and is admitted to practice in Colorado.
Colin Roche's practice focuses on corporate and business law, including mergers and acquisitions, securities, and general corporate matters.
He is a graduate of the University of Colorado Law School, where he served as an associate editor of the University of Colorado Law Review and participated as a student attorney with the University of Colorado Entrepreneurial Law Clinic. Through the Clinic, he represented early stage companies and entrepreneurs with issues including entity formation, founders’ agreements, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, employment law, and other general business law issues. Additionally, while in law school, Mr. Roche assisted local nonprofit corporations with formation and compliance issues.
He previously worked at DGS as a summer associate and for the Honorable John T. Folkes Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee as a judicial intern. Mr. Roche received his B.A. from the University of Colorado and is admitted to practice in Colorado.
Evan Williams' practice focuses on corporate and business law, including mergers and acquisitions, securities, and general corporate matters.
He is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, where he served as an articles editor for the Chicago Journal of International Law, treasurer for the Education and Child Advocacy Society, and interned for Justice Allison H. Eid of the Colorado Supreme Court.
Mr. Williams graduated from the University of Colorado with degrees in philosophy, political science, and economics. He is admitted to practice in Colorado.
