DGS Names Three New Partners
Mave A. Gasaway, Christopher John Lane, and Jacqueline V. Roeder will become partners of Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP effective January 1, 2019. Ms. Gasaway is a member of the firm’s Natural Resources Department, Mr. Lane is a member of the firm’s Finance & Acquisitions Department, and Ms. Roeder is a member of the firm’s Trial Department.

Mave A. Gasaway
Ms. Gasaway is in the Environmental Group at DGS. Her practice focuses on regulatory, litigation, and transactional counseling in the fields of environmental and natural resources law for clients in a variety of industries, including oil and gas, manufacturing, renewable energy (wind, solar, and biofuels), mining, railroads, and non-profits. Her experience includes assisting clients in matters involving the Clean Water Act (CWA), the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and other federal and state environmental laws, as well as common law toxic tort liability and local land use regulation.
Ms. Gasaway has extensive experience representing some of the firm’s largest clients in in complex environmental litigation and site remediation and reuse matters in the West, particularly under CERCLA, the CWA, and state law counterparts. She also has worked with both developers and lenders on regulatory and transactional matters for renewable and fossil-fuel energy development projects, and has assisted clients with appeals before the Ninth Circuit, Tenth Circuit, and Colorado Court of Appeals.
Prior to joining DGS, Ms. Gasaway served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jerome A. Holmes of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. She graduated summa cum laude from Vermont Law School and received her B.A. from the University of Oklahoma.
Ms. Gasaway is admitted to practice in Colorado and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth and Tenth Circuits. She is a member of the American, Colorado, and Denver Bar Associations, the ABA Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources, the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, the Colorado Women’s Bar Association, and the Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
Christopher John Lane
Mr. Lane is in the Real Estate Group of DGS and has extensive experience representing clients in all areas of real estate transactions throughout the U.S., including leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, construction and land use matters. His expertise also involves representing both borrowers and lenders in real estate financing, including alternative financing structures such as sale-leaseback transactions. Mr. Lane’s work includes supporting corporate transactions sometimes involving more than 100 properties.
He has extensive involvement in matters within the hospitality industry, which makes him uniquely qualified to handle hotel-related transactions. Mr. Lane represents clients in the acquisition, financing, development, and disposition of hotel properties, as well as in the negotiation of management agreements. He also represents developers in residential and commercial projects throughout Colorado.
Mr. Lane graduated with a J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School and with a B.S., summa cum laude, from the State University of New York at Albany. He is admitted to practice law in the state of Colorado.
Mr. Lane is a contributing author to the Colorado Real Estate Practice, one of CBA-CLE's most respected and widely used publications. He is also an instructor for the related 13-week CLE course and is a director of the Brent Eley Foundation. Mr. Lane is also a member of the Brent Eley Center’s Internal Affairs Committee, the Urban Land Institute, the CU Real Estate Foundation, and the Colorado Non-Profit Pro Bono Legal Group.
Jacqueline V. Roeder
Ms. Roeder’s practice focuses on internal investigations, white collar defense, commercial litigation, and trial. She is experienced in representing both companies and individuals in SEC, DOJ, and other government investigations and counseling clients on compliance issues. Ms. Roeder also has deep trial experience defending large corporations against contract, tort, and product liability claims, including two federal jury trials, a state court bench trial, and an arbitration within the last two years.
Before joining DGS, Ms. Roeder was an associate and counsel at O’Melveny & Myers in New York, where her practice focused on securities litigation, enforcement actions, white collar criminal defense, and internal investigations. She graduated with a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and with an A.B., magna cum laude, from Princeton University. Ms. Roeder is admitted to practice in Colorado and New York, and before the U.S. District Courts for the District of Colorado and Southern District of New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
Ms. Roeder is a member of the firm’s Diversity & Inclusiveness Committee. She is an active member of the development committee at the Savio House, a preeminent child and family treatment center for those impacted by violence, addiction, abuse, and neglect. Ms. Roeder is also currently active in the Colorado General Counsel Group.
