Jennifer Williams is a staff attorney at Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP, where her practice focuses on transactional matters in the oil and gas industry. Her areas of expertise include mineral title examination and due diligence.

Ms. Williams has over 15 years of experience as a title attorney and Iandman performing mineral title examination across the Rocky Mountain region. As a senior landman for an energy services company, she served as a strategic partner to clients, successfully managing several large and small lease plays throughout the Rocky Mountain region, ensuring the timely and reliable completion of title to support lease acquisition and bonus payments for plays with acreage ranges from 500 to more than 10,000. She also performed due diligence for several multi­million/billion-dollar acquisitions and divestitures, including well, contract and lease file examination, calculation of interests, and preparation of DOIs. Several of these projects included BLM acreage, as well as acreage subject to Conservation Easements in Wyoming and Colorado.

As an in-house landman for a smaller exploration company, Ms. Williams was involved in every step of the drilling process, from setting up JIB decks, reviewing Division Order Title Opinions, updating title and performing curative, and helping the Division Order Analysts set up revenue decks. She has appeared before the NDIC for spacing and other regulatory hearings. She also advised the regulatory department on BLM and BIA requirements.

At DGS, Ms. Williams’ practice emphasizes mineral title examination for title opinions and due diligence projects as well as advising clients on title issues. Having worked as a landman, she brings a practical perspective in advising clients on issues such as title curative, lease interpretation and risk assessment.
