Daniel M. Franklin has joined the Natural Resources Department of Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP as an associate. Mr. Franklin’s practice will focus on oil and gas, mining, and midstream services.
Prior to joining DGS, Mr. Franklin worked as a landman for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation where he negotiated the divestiture of oil and gas assets in Colorado, negotiated JOAs and other contracts with operators throughout Colorado and Wyoming, and led Anadarko’s permitting efforts in Converse County, Wyoming. His experience also includes assisting in the rendering of drilling and division order title opinions, state vs. local regulation of oil and gas, pre-emption, and regulatory takings. Mr. Franklin earned his J.D. with distinction from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he served as the editor-in-chief of the Oil & Gas, Nat. Resources & Energy Journal. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with his B.S. and M.A., where he also played football and was a four-year letter winner and Academic All Big 12.
