DENVER – November 16, 2015 – Laura Cerezo and Anna Minkinow have joined the Finance & Acquisitions Department, and Kyler Burgi and Claire Mueller has joined the Trial Department of Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP as associates.
Ms. Cerezo’s practice focuses on corporate and business law, including merger and acquisition transactions and general corporate matters. She received her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she graduated magna cum laude, served as a casenote editor for the Minnesota Journal of International Law and acted as a student attorney for the Special Education Law Clinic. During law school, she also worked as a law clerk in the in-house department of a Fortune 500 food and agricultural company. Ms. Cerezo received her B.S.B.A. in Finance, graduating magna cum laude, from the University of Denver.
Ms. Minkinow’s practice emphasizes corporate and business law, including securities law disclosure and compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters. She received her J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School, where she was an articles editor of the Colorado Natural Resources, Energy, and Environmental Law Review, as well as a two-time recipient of the John & Cynthia Schultz Law Scholarship for merit and interest in energy law. Prior to graduating, she clerked for a prominent Denver litigation firm, worked as a legal intern for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and spent two summers as a DGS summer associate with time in both the Corporate and Energy Groups. Ms. Minkinow received her B.A. in English from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Mr. Burgi’s practice focuses primarily on complex commercial litigation. Before joining DGS, Mr. Burgi served as law clerk to the Honorable Philip A. Brimmer of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado where he assisted in a wide variety of civil and criminal matters. Mr. Burgi received his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law where he graduated first in his class. While in law school he competed nationally as a member of the Sturm College of Law’s ABA-NTC National Trial Team, served as an editor of the Denver University Law Review, and interned for the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Mr. Burgi received his B.A. from Marquette University.
Ms. Mueller’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and products liability. She received her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law where she was the chief notes editor for The Review of Litigation, a top-ranked, student-edited specialty law review. Ms. Mueller received her B.A. in peace and justice studies, graduating magna cum laude, from Tufts University. During the five years between graduating from college and attending law school, Mrs. Mueller lived in Ecuador, where she taught English and became fluent in Spanish.
