DENVER - April 22, 2016 - Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP received certification from the Denver Department of Environmental Health's Certifiably Green Denver program, which helps businesses find opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability while minimizing their environmental footprint.
To be certified, the program requires that businesses complete all core criteria and two elective criteria in five categories: Business Management, Energy Efficiency, Water Conservation, Resource Management, and Transportation. In order to maintain certification, businesses must continue to comply with the core criteria and complete at least two new elective criteria every year.
"Sustainability has been a core part of our business for many years and we are excited to be at the leading edge of the movement towards sustainable business practices," said Eric Waeckerlin, DGS partner and chair of the firm's Cleantech & Climate Law Group.
In addition to the certification, the firm is also a member of the Law Firm Sustainability Network, a nonprofit organization of law firms and legal departments committed to promoting the benefits of environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility within their firms and throughout the legal industry. DGS also has a Sustainability Policy in place that guides the firm's vision of social, economic, and environmental responsibility.
