DENVER – APRIL 21, 2014 – Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP was named by Law360 as a Top 25 Firm For Female Partners. The rankings, which surveyed nearly 400 law firms from across the country, found that while women make up 43 percent of the non-partner attorneys at U.S. law firms, they comprise just 21 percent of partnerships. However, for firms ranked in the report, women make up at least 29 percent of the partnership. At DGS, which was ranked at number 11, nearly a third of the firm’s partnership is comprised of women.
“DGS is deeply committed to gender diversity in the legal profession,” said Damian Arguello, DGS partner and chair of the Diversity & Inclusiveness Committee. “DGS continues to address the longstanding gender inequality issues that exist in the legal profession. Not only do we retain a high percentage of female partners, but one-third of the firm’s department chairs and members of our executive committee are women.”
DGS has a strong track record with gender equality having received last year the Women in Law Empowerment Forum Gold Standard Certification by demonstrating that women represent a meaningful percentage of equity partners, leadership positions, governance and compensation committees, and most highly compensated partners.
