DGS Partners to Speak at the Hispanic National Bar Association Annual Convention
DENVER – AUGUST 21, 2013 – Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP partners Damian Arguello and David Neslin will be speaking at the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) Annual Convention being held September 4-7 in Denver. HNBA is a nonprofit that represents the interests of the more than 100,000 Hispanic legal professionals in the U.S.
Mr. Arguello, a former Colorado Hispanic Bar Association President, will speak on a panel titled, “Cyber Crimes, Ethics & Social Media: What You Need to Know.” In this session, attendees will learn about laws governing cyber crimes and data security and how to protect confidential client information and fulfill ethical obligations when working remotely.
Mr. Neslin will be moderating a panel called “What the Frack? Differing Perspectives on the Risks and Benefits of Fracking.” This session will present an analysis from land use, business, regulatory, and environmental perspectives on the pros and cons of hydraulic fracturing.
Damian Arguello
Mr. Arguello represents corporations in transactions and litigation involving risk management and insurance. In transactions, Mr. Arguello counsels businesses and insurers concerning insurance coverage, including cyber liability, general liability, directors & officers liability, professional liability, errors & omissions, and various first-party coverages, including contingent business interruption. Mr. Arguello coordinates insurance policies and contract provisions to maximize protection. Mr. Arguello also assists clients with insurance recovery and enforcing contractual indemnity provisions, including negotiating and litigating insurance coverage and contract disputes.
David Neslin
Mr. Neslin’s practice focuses on energy development and projects on public lands. He represents oil and gas clients in administrative matters before state and federal agencies, and handles controversies under a wide variety of environmental laws, including the National Environmental Policy Act, Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act, National Forest Management Act, and Federal Land Policy and Management Act. Prior to joining DGS, Mr. Neslin led the Colorado Oil & Gas Conservation Commission for four years and oversaw record levels of oil and gas permitting, development, and production in Colorado. Under his leadership, the COGCC also completed bellwether rulemakings to tackle emerging regulatory issues, including those involving hydraulic fracturing.
