The number of women, and particularly diverse women, in the highest ranking positions is still far too low. When you factor in those who have children, the numbers are even worse. Our next WILLS panelists, however, have beaten the odds and made it to the top. Certainly, anyone who becomes the Senior VP, Chief Legal Officer, & Corporate Secretary of Arrow Electronics; President & CEO of Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation; or a Justice of the Colorado Supreme Court is incredibly smart and hardworking. But those aren’t the only reasons these women have succeeded. During the next WILLS program, we’ll explore the specific steps these women took and the strategies they employed to reach the highest levels of their profession. We’ll also examine the traits of the people they surround themselves with and the characteristics of the organizations they joined that contributed to their achievements. The goal of this discussion will be to empower women with concrete and practical tools for success, help them adopt the right mindset, and redefine what’s possible.
