Kate Sanford is an associate at Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP. Her practice focuses on regulatory, litigation, and transactional counseling in the fields of environmental and natural resources law for clients in a variety of industries, such as renewable energy, mining, manufacturing, and non-profits.
Ms. Sanford’s experience includes assisting clients in matters involving the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Clean Water Act (CWA), and other federal and state environmental laws.
Prior to joining DGS, Ms. Sanford served as a judicial clerk for Justice Richard L. Gabriel of the Colorado Supreme Court. During law school, she was editor in chief of the Denver Law Review (Volume 94).
Ms. Sanford is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the Minoru Yasui Inn of Court. Internally, she a member of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee.
Prior to attending law school she was a violinist. In her free time, she can be found mountain biking, whitewater kayaking, skiing, and hanging out with her two sheepadoodles—Sophie and Daphne.
