Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP is pleased to announce that the firm recently added four new associates who are admitted to practice law in Colorado: Omeed M. Azmoudeh (Trial Department); Stephanie Block-Guedez (Finance & Acquisitions Department); Molly Kokesh (Trial Department); and Rob McCary (Finance & Acquisitions Department). Their collective experience will further strengthen the firm’s capabilities when assisting clients with transactional matters and complex litigation.
Omeed M. Azmoudeh: A former summer associate at DGS, Mr. Azmoudeh is continuing to advance the work of the Trial Department. Mr. Azmoudeh earned his B.A., magna cum laude, from Southwestern University and his J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif. While in law school, he published a note in the Natural Resources, Energy & Environmental Law Review, reached Nationals in the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition, and served as a research assistant for Professor Sharon Jacobs. He also took on several internships during that period, including one at Zayo Group and another for the Honorable Timothy M. Tymkovich of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
Stephanie Block-Guedez: Ms. Block-Guedez’s practice focuses on corporate and business law, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, securities, and general corporate matters. She currently serves as the treasurer of the Business Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association. Before starting at DGS, Ms. Block-Guedez was an associate at a Big Four public accounting firm, assisting public and private multinational corporations with the tax implications of mergers and acquisitions and internal reorganizations. She earned her B.A., cum laude, from Skidmore College and was the first female graduate of the joint J.D./M.S.A./MBA program at Northeastern University, receiving her J.D. with high honors. While completing her graduate degrees, Ms. Block-Guedez interned for Fidelity International, State Street Corporation, and the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office.
Molly Kokesh: At DGS, Ms. Kokesh’s practice focuses on commercial litigation. She previously clerked for the Honorable David M. Ebel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and for then Chief Justice Nancy Rice of the Colorado Supreme Court. Ms. Kokesh earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from Augustana College and her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif. During law school, she served as an articles editor for Volume 94 of the Denver Law Review, worked as a teaching assistant, and competed in the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition. In addition, she completed internships with the Honorable Christine M. Arguello of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado.
Rob McCary: A former summer associate at DGS, Mr. McCary is now focusing his practice on transactional work for both private and public companies. Before officially joining the firm, he interned with the Honorable John L. Kane of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, as well as Level 3 Communications. He earned his B.A., magna cum laude, from Colgate University and his J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif. During law school, Mr. McCary was the managing editor of the Colorado Law Review and competed in a number of interscholastic legal competitions, including the CU Interdisciplinary Ethics Tech Competition, which he won. Prior to pursuing a career as an attorney, Mr. McCary was the director of the TVRC Education Foundation’s Backcountry Program in Jackson, Wyoming.
