Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP is pleased to announce that Catherine A. Hance has been appointed chair of the Mile High United Way Board of Trustees. A longtime proponent of Mile High United Way – a nonprofit that advocates for the education, health, and financial stability of everyone who calls the Denver metro area “home” – Ms. Hance is honored to take on this role, a position held in the past by fellow DGS attorney Dale Harris.
Ms. Hance currently chairs the DGS Real Estate Group and co-chairs the firm’s Hospitality Group. Her commitment to excellence has been consistently recognized by leading publications, including Colorado Super Lawyers, 5280 magazine, The Best Lawyers in America©, and Chambers USA. Despite the demands of her practice, she has never failed to also prioritize community involvement; in addition to her service on the Mile High United Way Board, she currently serves as a Mayoral Trustee on the Board of Directors for the Denver Botanic Gardens and is a former chair of the Colorado Bar Association’s Real Estate Section Council.
“Catherine’s passion for promoting a more equitable future for the underprivileged in our community is inspiring,” said DGS Co-Managing Partner Kristin Lentz. “We applaud Catherine’s dedication and know that through her guidance, Mile High United Way will continue to make a positive impact that will be felt long into the future.”
DGS has partnered with Mile High United Way since the 1980s. In celebration of the firm’s centenary in 2015, DGS held a “Year of 100 Good Deeds” campaign and named the organization as one of the initiative’s key beneficiaries. More recently, DGS was one of the initial corporate sponsors for Mile High United Way’s “United for Families” capital campaign. DGS recognizes that when the community joins together around a common objective, it is possible to change lives for the better, forever.
“We are incredibly honored to have Catherine as our incoming board chair,” said Mile High United Way President and CEO Christine Benero. “Her leadership and commitment to our community are simply extraordinary. We are grateful for Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP’s vital support over the years and know that we will accomplish great things with Catherine in this role.”
