Oilfield Risk Mitigation

Drilling Contracts, Master Service Agreements & Other Oilfield Contracts

DGS attorneys regularly assist a broad range of independent oil and gas producers that are active in many of the country’s onshore basins in negotiating contracts with drilling contractors. Our team has extensive experience with the onshore drilling contract forms commonly used for drilling operations.

We regularly advise oil and gas operators with implementing master service agreement (MSA) programs, including the preparation of a suite of MSA forms for use in all aspects of their operations, such as consulting, transportation, and well site services. We also assist our clients in negotiating MSAs and other operational contracts, specifically master electric service agreements, licensing agreements, and procurement contracts with oilfield service companies.

Because of our regular work with drilling contracts and MSAs, we have considerable experience with the unique indemnity structures found in these contracts and agreements and the issues that typically arise.
