DGS Women's Network

Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP is committed to supporting women lawyers and to providing them with the resources they need to fulfill their personal and professional goals. More than half of the firm’s associates are women, and women are well-represented on the Executive Committee. One of the firm’s co-managing partners is a woman, giving women a strong voice at the top. In addition, approximately 62% of DGS female attorneys hold a leadership role or board position with an organization in Metro Denver.

The DGS Women’s Network is open to all of the firm’s women lawyers and convenes throughout the year. A dynamic component of this initiative is the Women in Leadership Lecture Series (WILLS), which features valuable perspectives on how to overcome instances of gender bias and other inequities on the path to leadership. Past speakers include the vice president and deputy general counsel of Facebook and the market president of Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

DGS is a proud proponent of a number of organizations devoted to advancing the status of women. One of our attorneys is a past president of the Colorado Women’s Bar Association and received the 2020 Ms. JD Woman of Inspiration Award for her efforts to foster a more inclusive profession and judiciary. The firm actively encourages women attorneys to get involved in what they love and, through their involvement, to make a positive difference in the community.

As a result of these efforts, DGS was ranked 54th out of 350 qualifying firms in the NLJ 500 Women’s Scorecard 2021, which is based on the firm’s percentages of female attorneys and female partners in 2020. In 2021, the firm ranked 12th among participating U.S. firms with 101 to 250 lawyers in Law360’s Glass Ceiling Report. Additionally, DGS received the first Qwest Diversity Leadership award, honoring the firm’s efforts in promoting diversity.
